Combination (Polyester and Polypropylene)

3 STRANDS DUAL FIBER COMBINATION ROPES PD 84-S

An excellent general utility working line widely used in river transportation and on commercial fishing fleets. It is made of high tenacity polyester incapsulating an ultra high tenacity co-polymer fiber creating a high yield low stretch and excellent abrasion resistant light weight rope. Easy to splice. This rope has, on average, 40% higher tensile strength than standard poly-dac combination ropes.

3 Strands Dual Fiber Twisted PD 101-S

This vastly refined lock-line rope of blended multiplex fiber wrapped around polyolephin provides a higher tensile strength and longer lasting than standard combination polydac ropes. Its lighter weight, lower stretch and smoother surface makes it an ideal line for tug, barge and dredging operations. Its lubricated polyolephin center core generates a heat resistance during the usage that will ultimately protect the surface fiber extending the life span of the rope.

3 and 8 Strand PD 101

This construction brings together the highest strength-to-weight ratio; lowest elongation; with excellent handling qualities available for Towboat and Barge work. Manufactured from Dupont Multiplex Dacron cover yarns for greater abrasion and frictional heat resistance plus a “hand” similar to Spun Dacron with a special lubricant to enhance strength and extend wear life. The inner core consists of lightweight twisted and untwisted polypropylene yarns. Identified by a blue, red and white marker yarn in one strand. P/D 101 is the prime workhorse on the river and canal systems.
